Makita-Built Motor Is Engineered for Versatile Dependable Power

The Makita LXFD01CW features Makita’s four-pole motor. This powerhouse delivers 480 inch-pounds at maximum torque. The motor also powers 290 inch-pounds PTI Torque, with an all-metal two-speed transmission (0-400/0-1,500 rpm). This Makita covers a wide range of drilling and driving applications.

At only 7-9/16 inches long (19.2 cm) and 3.3 pounds (1.5 kg), the compact Makita LXFD01CW boasts an ergonomic design for reduced operator fatigue. Also, Makita fitted the LXFD01CW with an improved rubberized soft grip to increase comfort while on a job.

Perhaps, the coolest and useful feature, a built-in LED light, shed light on the job at hand. No worries about a dimly lit job area, low-light conditions or close quarters with the LXFD01CW.

Wide Range of Applications Because of Its Versatile Design

Makita engineered the LXFD01CW for use in a wide range of drilling and driving applications. This makes the Makita LXFD01CW ideal for many homes and professional projects such as woodworking, electrical, plumbing, remodeling, and even HVAC.

The Makita LXFD01CW's high power and performance combination, plus its compact size, makes it suited for almost any professional contractor. Anyone requires a best-in-class engineered compact cordless driver-drill should probably seriously consider owning this tool.

The Makita LXFD01CW Driver-Drill is yet another tangible demonstration of Makita’s commitment to cutting-edge technology and innovative engineering.

Makita’s 18-Volt Compact Lithium-Ion Battery

Makita is truly one of the front-runners in cordless tool innovation. The 18-Volt LXT lithium-ion battery revolutionized its cordless drill series. Five years after its introduction, Makita’s LXT series of cordless tools has grown from just 7 tools to over 35 tools. This growth is in large part due to Makita’s providing such a wide range of choices in cordless solutions that professional workmen require.

Makita then added 18-volt compact lithium-ion to its line for cordless power in a smaller size.

Compared to old battery technology, Makita’s 18-volt lithium-ion batteries and ENERGY STAR rated Optimum Charging system provide several benefits.

When compared to traditional 18-volt NiCad batteries, Makita’s 18-volt lithium-ion batteries weigh 40 percent less. They boast a longer run time. And they have five-times lower self-discharge. The lower self-discharge rate keeps battery cells active and ready to use at any time for a much longer time.

To be more explicit, Makita’s 18-volt lithium-ion battery delivers 2,000 cycles. 2,000 cycles are two-and-a-half times more than a typical NiCad battery. Makita’s built-in shock-absorbing design also helps protect the battery from jars and drops. The sixteen firm-holding contact terminals ensure constant high power delivered to the motor.

While the battery is charging, the built-in memory chip (inside the battery) conspires with the Optimum Charger to ensure a more efficient charge. This helps extend the battery’s working life.

Makita’s Optimum Charger is also extremely fast. an 18-volt LXT lithium-ion battery will charge in just 30 minutes. An 18-volt compact lithium-ion battery charges in only 15 minutes.

Makita also makes a Rapid Automotive Charger for 18-volt LXT and 18-volt compact lithium-ion batteries. This charger plugs into the 12-volt DC sockets that are equipped in most automobiles and trucks. This ensures added mobility.

Makita’s Warranty

It’s better to contact the seller directly about the warranty but usually, every Makita lithium-ion tool, including The Makita LXFD01CW, is backed by Makita’s 3-year warranty that covers repair due to defects in materials or workmanship up to three years from the date of original purchase. Makita lithium-ion batteries and chargers have a limited 1-year warranty.
